I’ve decided to start this year by kicking off with a new video series dedicated to helping your fundraising to become more successful. And the first step in this process is developing your fundraising strategy. You can watch the video by clicking on the Video Series tab (above) or checking it out on my YouTube channel.
A good fundraising strategy will help you to:
Deliver your key goals
Make the most of opportunities as they arise
Be more proactive
And, of course, by having a clear strategy, outlining your fundraising goals and priorities means that everyone in your organisation from your board to your admin staff, know what it is that you’re trying to achieve too.
It also means that, rather than being the responsibility of one or two people, you can create a fundraising ethos throughout the entire organisation, fire up enthusiasm and get creative ideas from everyone.
Planning really is the secret to successful fundraising – it’s not glamorous, it’s not sexy and it perhaps doesn’t fill you with excitement – but I guarantee that, done well, you will have created the backbone to a successful fundraising programme that will raise your profile, leverage your resources and keep raising money now and in the future.
I’ll be launching a new Successful Fundraising Programme later in the year, so if you haven’t already, sign up to receive our newsletter – you’ll get lots of other freebies too – and be among the first to find out when we launch AND get a subscriber discount.
